I challenged myself to create a piece that focused on lighting and composition to set a mood and tell a story.
Because most of the pieces in my gallery are surrealist, and hyper saturated, I really wanted to break away and keep this one looking as realistic as I possibly could.
I'm pretty happy with the final outcome. I put a lot of effort into this one, focusing specifically on how the pentagram's light would play against the girl's skin... The difficulty came from brushing the light on the girl, one stroke at a time. A lot of hours and layers went into that portion of the creation.
I set out to prove to myself I was capable of creating something somewhat photo-realistic, and hopefully I've succeeded.

" title="Heart" />the idea here reminds me of something in my mind ive been willing to do...which makes me love it even more...
Pros:
the grim reaper behind there is in perfect shade...with his very well executed eyes makes him really dark and evil...
from main details like the candle light's glow on her....and the amazing pentagram on the floor...what made it so beautiful is the very thin red circles that surrounds the main orange one...
which makes the burning in the ground look fantastic...
and micro details such as the glow on the cracked ground and the shape of the candle smoke which i think u fixed it with ur hands using a brush or even with no brush at all...all those details adds so much to the piece...well done
Cons:
well the color of the shade on the girl could be fixed more, i mean maybe in the next piece u try this technique pay more attention to the color tone..
also near her knee the glow is not right...it needs to be more accrurate...
and the glow at the tips or edges of her body in general needs to be sharper than the glow on her skin....to give this "edgy" glow feel...
