Description
No Solace for the Soulless
I've been working on this piece on and off for over 6 months.
The house was made in Photoshop using the vanishing point tool and a lot of high resolution images and textures from various sources. It was heavily inspired by a 19th century piece done by Albert Robida ([link])
Highly experimental, I've never done anything quite like this before, and I used techniques that were new to me. At once I am both extremely proud of this, and somewhat disappointed, as it didn't quite turn out as planned.
That said, the work still leaves the viewer with more questions than answers, something I definitely like to do.
___________
Technical info:
Duration - 6 months on and off
Original size: 4750 x 6500 @ 300dpi
Based on a sketch by Albert Robida
